Gang Violence

Oklahoma City has long struggled with gang violence. In the U.S., two out of every five gang members are under 18.

Young adults who are without a place to go after school or healthy social outlets are vulnerable to joining gangs. Gang affiliation thwarts personal growth and development and often puts teens in life-threatening danger.

Early intervention is required to put young adults and teens on a path of healthy, happy development and maturation.

Many youths lack critical everyday skills for adult life and employment. By equipping teens and young adults with skills like cooking, cleaning, and even mechanical engineering, we can create brighter futures and more hopeful horizons.
