Our Story

Oklahoma City is our home.

TRUSE was born out of the need for progress in our community. As proud lifelong residents of Oklahoma City, our organization is dedicated to making our neighborhoods healthy and vibrant, with a focus on supporting our youth.

Our vision is to cultivate a prosperous, productive community for everyone in Oklahoma City.

At TRUSE, we believe that no teen or young adult should have to go it alone—we are here as mentors and friends to help all Oklahoma City youth feel optimistic and excited about their futures.

Jordan Rucker

Our Founder

Jordan Rucker is an African American man born and raised on the Eastside of Oklahoma City.

Brought up in a single-parent household, Jordan was raised to be a man of integrity, strength, and character. His mother has been an incredible force throughout his life, encouraging him to push boundaries, defy statistics, and make an impact.

After growing up in Oklahoma City amongst young adults from a wide range of backgrounds, Jordan joined the military as a Human Resources Specialist. During his time away from home, he reflected on the city and the people that made him who he was: his mother, friends, and neighbors.

When Jordan returned to Oklahoma City after six years in the military, he recognized the proliferation of challenges that teens and young adults faced in his neighborhood. To address those problems, Jordan set out to create TRUSE with the mission of providing teens with a supportive environment to learn, develop, and grow.

Board of Directors

Our Board is comprised of innovative thought leaders from within our community that are dedicated to making Oklahoma City a brighter and safer environment for youth. Committed to uplifting the teen and young adult voices in our neighborhoods, our Board prioritizes the health and wellness of those impacted by homelessness, gang violence, and more. Their collective leadership and power are deeply impactful to our mission.
